Cornucopia was founded in the summer of 1989 in a 500 square foot building on Seminary Street. Susan was raising a vegetarian family and was struck by the lack of locally available options. so Cornucopia was born. The store grew and moved across the street, merging with Uncle Billy’s Bakery in 1997.
In 2018, Cornucopia moved to our current location at 176 S Seminary St. The move enabled an even wider selection of products, expansion of the deli, and room for events. In 2020, Hannah, Susan’s daughter, moved back to area to help run the store and in 2023, longtime employee and chef Renu McKee joined the ownership team.
